Claudee Jamila

Claudee Jamila from Claudeestayshealthy.comHey there, my name is Claudee I am a registered nurse, but first I am daughter, a sister, and a wife. I was born in Bohol, Philippines, where I lived for nine years and finally moved with my family in Calgary, Alberta in the year 2001. We have been living here for 20 years now! I am an RN and entrepreneur by trade but I have many interests in life such as singing, and playing sports! So you will see videos of me singing as well 😉 I have many interests however my main passions in life are faith, family, love, and relationships. I want to thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I’ll be sharing some pretty intimate details about me, so if you’re ready to dance to the beat with me then here goes…!

The main reason why I started to write this blog is because I needed an outlet (and thanks to my husband Jimmy, I finally found the willingness and courage to get started). He is an incredible husband and hard working web designer-developer. You can check him out on this link! About seven years ago I was diagnosed with Bipolar Manic Disorder – a form of mental illness, more particularly a mood disorder where I experience extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression) (MayoClinic). Having experienced this major life event I have always wanted to reach out to others in the hopes that they too could learn and benefit from my experience. With the growing number of mental illnesses around the world, I think it is necessary that knowledge and tips on mental health be accessible to the general public.

Hence the birth of my blog! My mission is to help others gain mental wellness as well as build awareness with regard to mental illness – and also to simply have fun and provide joy to others. Thank you for reading and welcome to my blog :). I hope my posts will be of enjoyment and of service to you! Please do not hesitate to reach out, ask questions, leave a comment, and let me know if there are any particular topics you’d like me to write about, talk about or anything at all!

Check out my blog!
